Assalamou Alaykoum dear brothers & sisters,

 َشهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الْهُدَىٰ وَالْفُرْقَانِ ۚ فَمَنْ شَهِدَ مِنْكُمُ الشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ ۖ وَمَنْ كَانَ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ ۗ يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ بِكُمُ الْيُسْرَ وَلَا يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ الْعُسْرَ وَلِتُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُوا اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَاكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

Medina Center is blessed with the presence of Shaykh Ali Sbai, who is the resident Imam for the entire period. Imam Ali Sbai isoriginally from Morocco and now lives in California. He is very familiar with the different Quranic recitations and is a gifted ‘Quari’ alhamdulillah. He will also be holding Quranic Recitation classes for those interested.

The community is encouraged to participate in the daily salat in addition to the Ramadan Program and benefit from these efforts by the
Management Team of Medina Center Inc.

     2. IFTAR SPONSORSHIP:

Iftar (sponsored) is offered throughout the month of Ramadan daily. All are welcome. If you would like to sponsor Iftar, fully or partially, please contact Br. Sayyid Rizwan: admin@medinacenter.net.

     3. TARAWEEH Prayer and TAHAJUD Prayer (Night Prayer):

‘Isha prayer began at 10:00 PM followed by taraweeh prayer for the first two weeks. Then Isha prayer will be at 9:30PM. Also, there
will be Tahajud Prayer during the weekends (3:30 AM Saturday & Sunday mornings) and during the last ten days of Ramadan.

  4. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS:

a.     Short Talks after Salat Al-Fajr.
b.     Quranic Recitation after Salat Al-Fajr
c.     Quranic Recitation & Discussion after Salat Al-Asr
d.     Adult Quranic Lessons (Please email admin@medinacenter.net to book your place)
 e.     Special Program during Lailatul Qadr.

  5. FUNDRAISING IFTAR

September 4^th 2010. Please mark your calendar. We will be announcing an exciting program for this evening inshaAllah.

  6. ZAKAT ALFITR:

Your early contribution of Zakat Al-Fitr to the needy families will be a great help for us to distribute it early. ($10.00 on behalf of every dependent of yours, plus yourself). If paying by check, please write “zakat” or “donation” on the memo field so that we may disburse accordingly.
